You have the option to download from a wide range of maps. Each map's data is stored on your device, ensuring functionality even where internet access is limited or Google Maps is unavailable. By preloading all map data onto your iPhone or iPad before leaving home, you can avoid costly data roaming charges. This enables you to navigate even with all network functions turned off.
These street maps provide comprehensive details, including important locations like ATMs, parking spaces, museums, and more. The application tracks your visited locations making it convenient to find previous spots like parking lots or restaurants. Moreover, you can mark points of interest in advance for easy reference.
To prevent unnecessary data charges while traveling, it is recommended to disable Data Roaming in the settings of your device. Please note that GPS functions are exclusive to iPhone and iPad 3G models, while iPods and WiFi-only iPads use assisted GPS based on nearby WiFi networks.
The list of available maps covers major cities and tourist hotspots worldwide, ranging from Paris, Rome, London, New York to smaller destinations such as Aix-en-Provence and Surfers Paradise, as well as national parks like Yellowstone and Shenandoah.
